The word Poshan means nourishment an unprecedented flagship program undertaken by the Honorable Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi known as the Poshan Abhiyan. The main objective of this initiative is mainly to shed enough light on the nutrition of lactating mothers, pregnant women, girls and children. One of the main objectives of this campaign is to create a natural ecosystem of health and wellness. The campaign was first launched on 8th March 2018 and since then it has received a great response overall.
Poshan Abhiyaan 2024
This initiative is taken by the Ministry of Women and Child Development Department. This move is a unique sign of the Digital India mindset. Poshan Maah is organized from 1st September 2024 to 30th September 2024. Not only this, Hon’ble Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi launched a ‘Plant for Mother’ program for every mother on World Environment Day.
The government has also launched a mobile app called ‘Poshan Tracker’ by the National e-Governance Division which is capable of tracking different types of nutrition. Everyone from children to lactating mothers can take advantage of this app. Basically keeping track of the activities of Anganwadi Center i.e. AWCs is one of the special aspects of this app. This app plays an important role in the real-time monitoring of AWCs, Anganwadi Centers and various beneficiaries.

Another important aspect of this campaign is the ‘Plant for Mother’ (Plant4Mother) program. We have already noticed that the Hon’ble Prime Minister launched this important program on the World Environment Day. Now we will observe how we will log in to the official website for data entry. Those steps are mentioned below.
- First of all, we have to go to the official website.
- Then navigate to Plant4Mother website e.g. www.treeplantation.poshantracker.in.
- On the new page, click on ‘Data Entry’.
- Then login dashboard will open.
- Then enter your username and password.
- After clicking on the login option, the activity participation form will open.
Data Entry
In the activity participation form, it is very easy to enter data there. Therefore, first of all, we will log in and fill in the required information in the activity participation form. This includes first group selection as it is a tree plantation-related data entry so it will be pre-selected. Next, we have to select the theme which will be Plant for Mother. Then we have to select the level i.e. Block or AWC and upload the relevant picture along with the activity date, and number of trees planted. Finally, click the submit option to enter the data.

The App is also known as a Poshan Tracker. Besides monitoring various Anganwadi centers as well as beneficiary management is one of the important aspects of this app. Real-time monitoring of various Anganwadi workers and centers is one of the features of this app. By registering and logging into this app, an Anganari worker is able to manage and update the profiles and records of various beneficiaries.
