PM Vishwakarma Yojana is a visionary scheme of Prime Minister Narendra Modi whose main objective is to train every artist and craft community worker and also make them self-reliant through financial support. Narendra Modi launched this scheme on 17th September 2023 on the day of Vishwakarma Puja.

PM Vishwakarma Yojana 2024

The Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Yojana is a central government scheme administered by the Ministry of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises. Through this scheme artists and craftsmen are fully supported in terms of easy access to loans, skill training, modern equipment and market-linking assistance. The Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi launched the scheme on 17th September 2023.

Under this scheme, every trainee will get Rs 500 per day and they will also get Rs 15,000 in their bank account for purchasing tools after the training. Every artisan or craftsman under the scheme can get an Enterprise Development Loan of up to Rs 3 lakh at an interest rate of 5% to start a new business.

In the first stage beneficiary will get Rs 1 lakh and in the 2nd stage beneficiary will get Rs 2 lakh. The central government has allocated a budget of 13 thousand crore rupees for providing easy loans to artisans and craftspeople under the Yojana. The scheme was initially implemented for the initial five years. To apply for this scheme applicants must first visit the official website of the scheme at https://pmvishwakarma.gov.in. Objective Of PM Vishwakarma Yojana

Many people are associated with Artisans and crafts professions and also do not get training in their field of work. The main objective of this Yojana is to provide proper training to them. Also, they will get very low-interest loans to start their own business.

1. Through this scheme, skill development training is provided to artisans and craftsmen so that they can become self-reliant.
2. Beneficiaries will get modern advanced parts so that they can increase the quality and quantity of their work.
3. People associated with Artisans and craftsmen will get the recognition as Vishwakarma so that they can avail facilities of this scheme.
4. Through this scheme, loans of up to Rs.3 lakh are given to artisans and craftsmen at very low interest rates to start their own businesses.
5. The scheme provides incentives to artisans and craftsmen to conduct digital transactions, encouraging them to engage in digital transactions.

Eligibility Criteria for PM Vishwakarma Yojana

There are certain eligibility criteria applicants must follow to apply for this scheme. Below are the eligibility criteria.

1. Only artisans and craftsmen are eligible to apply.
2. Self-employed applicants in the unorganized sector will be eligible to apply for this scheme.
3. Applicants must be associated with the 18 family traditional trades mentioned in this scheme.
4. The minimum required age is 18 years to apply.
5. Only one person is eligible from a family to apply.
6. Government employees are not eligible.

Note:

• If the applicant does not have a ration card then the applicant has to provide the Aadhaar card of each member of his family.

How to Apply for PM Vishwakarma Yojana?

Through this scheme, artisans and craftsmen will be self-reliant by providing skill training and low-interest loans. For those applicants who want to apply, below is the step-by-step guide to apply online.

1. Applicants must first visit its official website at https://pmvishwarkma.gov.in.
2. Then the homepage will open. Now click on the ‘How To Register‘ option.
3. Navigate to CSC login and enter the applicant’s user ID and password.
4. Then the application form will open in front of you.
5. Now first applicants have to do aadhaar verification by entering their aadhaar number and mobile number. Then they have to fill the application form as per the instructions given on the registration page.
6. Enter personal details like name, address, GP and profession/trade details. Then click on save and next.
7. On the credit support information page, enter bank details, required credit details and digital incentive details. Then save and next.
8. Then fill and select scheme benefit details. Then check the declaration and submit the application.
9. Now applicants will get the application number.
10. After that wait for the verification.
