The National Scholarship Portal is a scholarship portal owned by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India, also known as NSP. The NSP portal is launched by the Central Government. It’s a very beneficiary portal for students from any state. Students can easily apply according to their state and from all over India students can apply for this scholarship. Students also need OTR registration before applying.
Scheduled caste, scheduled Tribe category, and other backward class students can apply through the NSP portal. Students can visit the official scholarships.gov.in portal for OTR registration and online application purposes.
NSP scholarship 2024
Students who belong to SC, ST, OBC/Minority/PWD are all eligible to apply. Students will get Rs 10000 to Rs 20000 from this NSP scholarship. There are many scholarships under this portal. Such as pre-matric scholarships, post-matric scholarships, education scholarships, etc.
Also, there are various department-wise scholarships such as the Ministry of Labour and Employment, ministry of minority affairs, Ministry of Tribal Affairs etc. Students also need to register themselves if they are new applicants. NSP Scholarship Eligibility in 2024
- Caste Criteria: Students belonging to SC/ST/OBCBC/EBC/Minority/Disabled category can apply.
- Income Criteria: The annual income criteria are set by the respective department. You must check before applying for a scholarship. But in most cases, the annual family income should be less or equal to Rs 2,50,000, then you can apply for this NSP scholarship.
- Educational Criteria: Students who have secured 60% marks in secondary, higher secondary and college-level exams can apply for this NSP scholarship.
NSP Scholarship 2024 OTR Process
- First, visit the official portal of NSP @scholarship.gov.in.
- Now click on the New Registration option.
- Now select Students.
- Then select OTR login.
- Here as a new applicant, you have to complete the OTR registration. So now you have to select the Register Yourself option.
- After that, a new web page will open. Here you have to first check the OTR Guidelines.
- Then you have to register your phone number.
- Then you have to complete the aadhaar-based eKYC process. So remember your aadhaar card must be updated and error-free.
- After the eKYC, you’ll get the reference number.
- Now install the Aadhaar Face RD and NSP OTR app from the Play Store.
- Open the NSP OTR app and click on eKYC by FaceAuth.
- Then enter the reference number that you got from the NSP portal. Also, provide the OTP and solve a captcha.
- Here you’ll see that the Aadhaar Face RD is not verified.
- So verify it through the Aadhaar Face RD app.
- After that, you’ll get the OTR and you’ll receive the password in your registered phone number.
- Then login to the NSP portal and change the password.
NSP Scholarship 2024 Apply
After the OTR registration, you have to log in to the NSP portal via your OTR number and password. Then you have to follow the below steps.
- You have to click on fresh apply.
- Next, you have to fill in the options like state, student category, and application type and click on the submit option.
- Next, you have to enter your personal details and click on the save option.
- Then upload the necessary document.
- Finally, your application form process is completed.
- Next, you have to check the status of your NSP scholarship application from time to time.
Required Documents For NSP Scholarship
- If a student belongs to the SC, ST, or OBC category then a caste certificate should be given.
- A scanned copy of the front page of the bank passbook should be given.
- Annual Income certificate of the family.
- Passport-size photo.
- Any government ID card or Aadhaar card.
- Mobile number and email ID.
- Free receipt copy of school or college.
