Krishak Bandhu Scheme is managed by the Department of Agriculture, Government of West Bengal. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee launched this scheme in 2019. When the scheme started, each farmer was given financial assistance of Rs 5000 which was later increased to Rs 10000 in 2021. This financial assistance is paid directly to farmers’ bank accounts in two equal installments. Through this, farmers will get support during the cultivation time.

Eligibility Of Krishak Bandhu Scheme
Applicants have to go through certain eligibility criteria to apply for Krishak Bandhu Yojana. Eligibility criteria that applicants need to keep in mind to apply for this scheme are discussed below.
- Every farmer must be a permanent resident of West Bengal to apply for Krishak Bandhu Yojana.
- Farmers must have patta, parcha, and Forest Department Patta in their own name to apply for this scheme.
- All those farmers who have less than or more than one acre of cultivable land will be considered eligible to apply for this scheme.
- Actual land owner’s heirs can also apply in this process.

Benefits of the Krishak Bandhu Scheme
Beneficiary farmers get financial support and social security through the Krishak Bandhu Yojana. Those farmers who have less than one acre of land get financial assistance of Rs 4000 and those farmers who have more than 1 acre of cultivable land get financial assistance of Rs 10,000. This financial assistance is credited to each farmer’s bank account in two equal installments. How to Apply for Krishak Bandhu Scheme 2024
If you’re an eligible farmer and want to apply for the scheme benefits then check the below steps.
- Search Krishak Bandhu in your browser.
- Navigate to the registration form.
- Then the Registration Form will appear in front of you.
- Then you have to search by putting your Voter ID number there.
- Enter your mobile number and click on the Get OTP option next to it. Then an OTP will be sent to your mobile number and you have to verify it.
- Then an application page will open where you have to provide farmer details, profile details, bank details, address details, and cultivable land details.
- Upload a photo, and enter an alternative mobile number and email ID if any. Check the Kisan Samman Nidhi self-declaration.
- Then you have to fill in all the required details and upload all the required documents.
- After filling out all the forms you have to click on Create Farmer option. Only then the online application process be completed.

- Then go to the registered farmer information (নথিভুক্ত কৃষকের তথ্য) option.
- In the status check page, select any ID you’ve provided during the registration like an Aadhaar Card, Voter Card, registered mobile Number, Bank Account, acknowledgement number or Krishak Bandhu ID.
- Then choose the ID of the option and provide the unique number.
- Then click on the Recaptcha option and then search.
